18/8: Last Usrah session Everyone left an advice for everyone. Mine is to give salam whenever you meet someone. A lot of the reminders pertain to being a better Muslim which is part of my own struggle :) Side note, this is the poster we did for the last group task

Recitation of Surah Al-Baqarah: 30-37 The verses pertain to the creation of mankind, starting with Prophet Adam who was then taught knowledge by Allah. After he and Hawa were tempted by shaitan, they were casted out of Heaven and they repented. Humans are forgetful and sinful beings but what's important is we repent and try to better ourselves because we are Allah's best creation.

11/8 - Recitation of last 10 ayahs of Al-Kahfi Naqibah asked about something we plan to do that can contribute to society. Personally I try to donate to good causes especially when there's a crisis (to my ability, which is to say not much but it's something). And since July, I made a promise to myself to donate to Cancer Research Malaysia every month. In shaa Allah. It's also nice to hear what everybody has to say. It reminds me that any good deeds can count as ibadah. We also listened to a song together. It's about the special communication we have with our Creator where He understands every emotion or hardship we go through in life.

9/8 - Basmalah Why we need to recite basmalah? We recite بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم before doing anything to remind ourselves that all of our actions should be for Allah's blessings and we should do things as a form of ibadah. To help myself do that, I made a bookmark that I can use whenever reading my books or novels: Fun fact: my dad said 'bismillah' before every bite of food when eating

4/8 - Recitation of Al-Kahfi, verse 1-10 Why we need to recite al-Quran everyday? Personally I think it's a reminder of the lessons that Allah teaches us in the verses that we recite. P/S: The class has also a nice recap on some of the tajwid that I may have forgotten.
